Teacher (English)
Job Description
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated English Teacher to join our clients' middle and high school faculty. The ideal candidate will inspire students in grades 6–9 to develop strong reading, writing, speaking, and critical thinking skills through engaging instruction in literature, composition, and language arts.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that align with curriculum standards and grade-level benchmarks
Teach English Language Arts to middle and/or high school students, including literature, grammar, vocabulary, writing, and literary analysis
Create a positive, inclusive classroom environment that encourages student participation and respect
Evaluate and assess student performance through assignments, projects, discussions, and exams
Provide constructive feedback to students and communicate academic progress to parents/guardians
Integrate technology and multimedia tools to enhance instruction and support diverse learning styles
Maintain accurate records of attendance, grades, and student progress
Participate in staff meetings, professional development, and school events
Collaborate with colleagues on cross-curricular initiatives and curriculum planning
Uphold school policies and support student behavior and classroom management expectations
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in English, Education, or related field (Master’s degree preferred)
Valid teaching certification (state-specific or applicable licensure) for grades [6–12]
Prior experience teaching English at the middle and/or high school level preferred
Strong classroom management and instructional skills
Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
Commitment to fostering a growth mindset and cultural responsiveness in teaching
Schedule & Compensation:
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:30 AM – 3:30 PM
Compensation: 65K -75K "Based on experience and certification"

Preferred Experience:
Familiarity with Common Core Standards, IB/MYP, AP English, etc.
Experience with differentiated instruction and accommodations for diverse learners
Knowledge of classroom technology platforms (e.g., Google Classroom, Canvas, Turnitin)
