Job Description
Hiring Hub is currently looking for a part time 24-32 hrs. paralegal/legal assistant for a sole practitioner in downtown Albuquerque.
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Part-Time Litigation Paralegal to support a legal team in managing civil litigation matters. The ideal candidate will assist attorneys with case preparation, legal research, document drafting, and file management. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is looking for a flexible work schedule.
Key Responsibilities:
Draft legal documents including pleadings, motions, subpoenas, and discovery responses
Assist attorneys in case preparation for hearings, trials, and depositions
Conduct legal and factual research using databases and public records
Organize and maintain case files and document databases (e.g., Relativity, Concordance)
Coordinate with clients, witnesses, experts, and court personnel
Summarize medical records, depositions, and discovery responses
File legal documents electronically with courts (state and federal)
Manage deadlines and legal calendars (e.g., docketing court dates, discovery cutoffs)
Maintain confidentiality and uphold legal ethics
Qualifications:
Associate or bachelor’s degree; Paralegal Certificate preferred
Minimum 2–3 years of litigation experience in a law firm or corporate legal department
Strong knowledge of legal procedures, terminology, and e-filing systems
Proficient in Microsoft Office and legal software
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Highly organized with strong attention to detail
Ability to manage multiple priorities with limited supervision
Schedule & Compensation:
Part-time: 24-32 hours per week, flexible schedule available
Compensation: DOE - $24.-28./hr based on experience
Preferred Experience:
Experience with civil litigation, employment law, or insurance defense
Familiarity with local court rules and procedures
